Ganga
Ganga's fifth album "Forget Gravity" underlines that blend of ethnic flavours, dubby bass grooves, balearic guitars, evocative vocals, asian infused strings and crispy electronica - that over the years has become Ganga's trademark. Since the debut on Music For Dreams in 2004, Ganga's chilled mark on the global map of electronic downtempo and midtempo has continued to grow, and today Ganga's tracks are featured on more than 100 compilation CDs and DVDs worldwide.
The India-flavoured "Clouds" has already been picked by DJ Ravin for Buddha Bar 13, and several tracks from Forget Gravity is already compiled for downtempo compilations around the globe. As is normal for a Ganga album, "Forget Gravity" features brilliant vocal and musical performances from far corners of the world. Anwar Ahmed Khan and his brother Naushad Hussain Khan, both from India, perform on "Clouds" together with old time Ganga collaborator Helle Chirholm, and Annemarie Zimakoff performs on the two very delicate and evocative cinematic slowburners "Secrets" and "Are You Hiding". The slow grooving "Yellow Leaves" also brings us brilliant guitar performances by another oldtime Ganga companion, Steen Kyed (The Great Danes).
Forget Gravity is a very vocally oriented, and a very chilled experience. Lean back and enjoy the blissful journey.
