Sangit Om
Sangit Om studied Indian music during his travels to India where he also learned a lot about yoga and the diversity of spiritual practices as they can still be found everywhere in this fascinating country. His name comes from a Sanskrit expression meaning the music (Sangit) which can be heard as a mystical sound (Om) in absolute silence. He creates his own mixture of music, fusing influences from the East and the West.
On The Spirit of Yoga Sangit Om creates relaxing and inspiring music with mantras and ragas to support the practice of yoga. The ragas have a positive healing effect and are inspiring and uplifting. The Yamuna mantra (track 3) is for unconditional love and the Kali Durgai mantra (track 6) is a dedication to all great Mother Goddesses and female saints. Featuring instruments such as bamboo flute, santor, tanpura and guitar.
